Opus 5 in Boca Raton
Award-Winning Restaurant with Inventive, Contemporary American Food
Once South Florida restaurateur Burt Rapoport opened his Boca Raton restaurant
Opus 5, in May of 2006, this hot spot began garnering numerous accolades
from the press, rising above other fancy restaurants in South Florida. Opus
5 was named one of the 20 Best New Restaurants in Florida, by Florida Trend
magazine in 2006, and the Best New Restaurant, in the Readers’ Choice Awards,
in the May 2007 issue of Boca Raton magazine. Extraordinarily talented Executive
Chef John Belleme creates delicious and inventive gourmet American food with
Asian accents. Stellar dishes include Crispy Yellowtail Snapper (with tamarind
chili sauce and vegetable noodle summer rolls), Miso-Chili Marinated Skirt
Steak (with shiitake mushroom home fries and crispy onions), East West Shrimp
Scampi (with handkerchief pasta, roasted yellow tomatoes, arugula, and garlic-yuzu
cream), and Maine Lobster Bolognese with homemade gnocchi. This contemporary
bistro features a casually elegant setting that combines New York sophistication
with South Beach energy. The sublime, gourmet American food is the perfect
match for the stunning décor, which features soaring ceilings, creamy walls,
pale yellow banquettes, and an attractive back-lit bar. Unlike a lot of the
other fancy restaurants in South Florida, this Boca Raton jewel continuously
delivers outstanding food, ambiance, and service, sans attitude. The energy
in the place is palpable—which is a nice bonus. An acoustic duo plays on
Friday evening. An
impressive wine list, with hundreds of offerings from around the globe, provides
the perfect complement to every dish. There is an enticing array of Specialty
Cocktails, as well as a new Bar Menu that offers plenty of terrific choices.
Opus 5, located at 5050 Town Center Circle at the Shops at Boca Center in
