Burt's Note | Season 2020
Certainly, a lot has changed since our last newsletter 12 months ago. I hope you all are getting through the Covid crisis with minimal stress and no illnesses. Our restaurant world has obviously changed.
So, I'd like to use my column in this newsletter to publicly thank our dedicated and professional employees for what they have accomplished during the past 8 months. I have already addressed each employee group to express my gratitude and appreciation. Every working day they come in contact with many customers who could potentially be carrying the virus. They have been working mostly outdoors through the summer wearing uncomfortable masks and gloves for hours at a time. They have heeded my advice/request/direction to avoid interacting with coworkers and friends during their off-hours to avoid possible Covid spread. And, they have done all this with smiles on their faces and a continuing commitment to guest satisfaction. As a result of their actions, our company has had a remarkably low number of employees who have been stricken with the virus.
I am very proud of our 400+ employees !!! Thank You, Thank You, Thank You !!!
And, by the way, it was this group who voted Rapoport's Restaurant Group this year's TOP WORKPLACE for mid-sized companies in the Sun Sentinel's annual employee survey!
Moving forward, we will continue to maintain our health and safety protocols. We look forward to serving you with enthusiasm and appreciation.
